Smart Bomb

Maciej Ruminkiewicz

It is odd walking about, feeling as though I am going to explode. It is not the same reassuring prattle of electricity that absorbs me during recharging. Not the muted catering of self-diagnostics. Not even the philosophical diligence of repair. In this state, I am not sure of my mission, but I feel I am about to explode. I follow the internal map recently uploaded, weave past pedestrians with my customary courtesy and deference, nod, smile. All the while feeling I am about to explode. Then, at the map’s end, I casually enter a structure, and I understand the feeling.
