Featured Micro-lit Poetry SUNBURST

Reading James

Benjamin Goluboff |
July 28, 2026

Ioann-Mark Kuznietsov

The days grow longer, the mild weather comes
and I am in here reading
The Varieties of Religious Experience.

The summer crests and lapses,
the annual cicadas begin
as I pass the midpoint of Varieties.

A shrub in the garden ignites,
burns and is not consumed
and I am in here reading James.
